I eat first take insulin after - never know what's going to be served - or when.!! It is ok to inject 20 mins before or up to 20 mins after mealš
I find that I am bruising at my injection sites on my hips and stomach. I'm wondering if anyone else has this problem. I spoke to my diabetes nurse about this and they said that it was abnormal and that most people don't bruise or bleed. There was no explanation to this.
How many of you are on a type of blood thinner or a platelet inhibiter that can cause bruising? Check with your PCP if you are on these medications and ask for suggestions on where is the best placeā¦ read more
I've always been needle phobic and my doc now wants me to inject Ozempict. I can barely cope getting a flu shot or something like that. I practically need to take sedation if I have to give blood samples. I just don't know how I'm going to do this.
He told me that an ozempik pill is coming out but no one has any experience with it. I'm driving myself crazy trying to decide between injections which will make me faint and a pill nobody has taken. Its crazy I know, but if you've never injectedā¦ read more
I live in Ontario and as a senior I don't pay for Ozempic.
The meds don't seem to work that great plus none of the doctors I have been to have helped. Plus I live in a town where it seems they just want to milk the system. It's a long story but all any of them do is put me on different meds and then when one doesn't work they keep me on it then put me on something else. I just don't know what to do anymore

The "squeeky wheel" (me) is back, with yet another (new) complaint! Snork! I read that walking is the greatest thing to do and I keep trying it, but it just seems boring seeing the same things over and over in my neighborhood. I live in a blue-collar suburb, where thankfully not much happens, but there is just not much new to see either. And in the winter people are inside their homes. I owned one dog in my lifetime and walked him several times a day-now that had a purpose! For years after heā¦ read more

I dont like most vegetables so am having a hard time finding foods to help control my sugar levels and carbs are a great problem for me. I also like fish once in a while but would have to fix 2 meals if I make it because my daughter won't eat fish. I just would like some ideas on what I can do to help with my levels. I also am a stress eater and this tends to be a major issue in my daily work life. I do take cheese and pepperoni for snacks and have walnuts and sunflower seeds and pumpkinā¦ read more

I am losing muscle mass very quickly, what causes this? It's really not flattering at all. Besides exercises, which I'm paying gym for nothing as I don't get time to go there.
What else can I do to gain back muscles or atleast meat under my skin?
Should also see a dietitian
My Doctor has prescribed a new meter so I don't have to prick my fingers all the time it's a Free style Libre,
my doc said that most insurance companies will pay for the two part kit.. Well I don't know because it going to end up costing me $145...
Has anyone ever tried it? What do you think? Is it more accurate than the finger sticks, just as accurate or not as accurate?
Has anyone found where you can get it at a really reduced rate or even free?
I just got a FREE Sensor, and PAID for a $60 meter! Nothing is FREE! LOL
I was dx with a stress fracture several months ago on my outer left foot. It finally was getting better, just weak, and not about 2 weeks ago, I am back to where I initially started prior to the dx. I have tried to get in to see my GP, but was told that she was booked into March and since I have an appointment then, I will just have to wait! Healthcare in Canada at it's finest, not

Most who read my posts become very aware that I don't tend to sugar coat anything.
Maybe that is because I have been dealing with Diabetes my entire life. My Parents, Grandparents, Great-Grandparents, Uncles/Aunts and cousins all have/had diabetes, at least the overwhelming majority of them, so if you are a "normal" member of the family, you likewise have Diabetes.
