I do all the cooking, our meals are heavy protein, lots of good fats tonnes of vegetables and minimal, minimal carbs
We eat a lot of meat, I normally buy half a cow, half a lamb at a time and probably eat more vegetables in a day or two than a family of four would eat in a month

Perhaps you need to get out more and move.
That might stop you from eating everything in sight, which will do you more harm than good.
Try a senior centre near you
