What medications are you doing. When I was doing prednisone for 5 months starting about 7-8 months ago. My numbers ranged from a low of 12.5 to highs over 20 every day.

Meats including fish, and fat have no carbs or sugar. Very low carb vegetables only minimally increase blood glucose numbers.
I eat 2-3 net carb meals. My 2 hour numbers are lower than my before eating numbers.
With numbers that high you should be on insulin therapy. Numbers that high are dangerous.
Usually that means a hospital stay is in order.
Good luck.
Avoid too much carbohydrate foods, Fats & oils and also learn to watch your portion sizes. Eat more of vegetables and not too ripe fruits to avoid the sugar. Try to see your Doctor & Best wishes
20 mmol/L is definitely pretty high. I would focus on drinking plenty of water and avoiding sugary or high carb foods for now. A lot of people also recheck again after a little while to see if it is trending down. If you start feeling really unwell or the number keeps climbing, do not wait too long to get medical advice. Hope it starts coming down soon.
