What type of info can or should be shared here? Does anyone share contact information so more conversations can be made? Or is the topic only about health. What about political issues involved with our disease or other support group information being shared?

It's a social site,Gary,so we can share whatever we are happy with apart from selling stuff, begging, being rude about another member. There are rules in the info pages........how they are enforced I don't know🐼

This is a different kind of (group)

I see this as a "bulletin board" where people with diabetes can vent, share, discuss or ask

There are tons of sites on the internet for personal connections, dating sites, pay to belong to some diet or wellness group

Certainly this format is not for everyone and depending on what the individual actually (needs) this may not be the best place for them

And it is certainly not unique - there are a number of diabetes social media groups out there

I work with a different organization that provides very personal one on one (as well as group) interaction for people with diabetes - totally different format - can one on one "zoom" with them to discuss all manner of issues, provide one on one mentoring or support - different concept providing for a different "need"

I actually love this format as one of the many resources available to people with diabetes - it's a great general knowledge, personal experience kinda place that's greatest benefit is that is shows, to a wide audience, how we all experience diabetes in our own way

We have a huge swath of levels of progression - all the way from "I was just told" to those that have been using Insulin for over 40 years - there is a lot of wisdom here but just maybe not the more personal, one on one touch that some "may" be looking for

There is a place for all and I wouldn't want to try and turn this platform into something it isn't and something that IS available from another source
