Is Sleep Apnea and Gout more prevalent in diabetics.
Good morning warriors. There are many of us that suffer from sleep apnea. I use my cpap. My Bride uses her bi-pap. We were both diagnosed with sleep apnea 20 years ago.
For the last 50 years, according to my bloodwork, I was just over the line for the uric acid level for gout, but had no symptoms.
After my February 2021 diabetes diagnosis, I started my ultralow carb right eating lifestyle. My uric level dropped a few points and my uric acid level is finally in the normal range. I am truly blessed. Baby steps. I can do baby steps.
Good luck. Praying for you.
Thank you I was diagnosed with Sleep Apnea 6 months ago and I'm on the CPAp and its changed my life for the better completely . 10 year's ago when I wasn't controlling my glucose levels properly and I had about 5 flare ups of gout on my big toe . Very painful I have to say but since I now have my glucose levels under 6 I havnt had a flare up since. Diabetes is one of those chronic illnesses that if you don't keep it under control it can cause a multitude of problems . 4o% of people who end in up in hospital with a myocardial infarction discover they have Diabetes for the first time. It's tough but eat a Proper diet ,exercise and watch your sugar levels and stay safe . Cheers michael
