get a meter. It does help give you an idea how your blood sugars are doing. Also you’ll see what food are rising your blood sugars. And if you’re going to test after a meal, wait about 2 hours.
I would buy one. Test before every meal for a few days and if you are testing in a good range, decrease to once a day.
I am in glimpiride. No side affects except can go low. Small copay.
I like the ginger snap miraculous appearance. Good one. I once in a while find half
a biscotti next to morning coffee.
My brother has been borderline for 10 years. Aside from getting A1C checked every three months he is not on any medication or was told to test.
He is watching his carb intake but not as close as I am.
Each doctor is different in their opinions.

I had elevated kidney readings nags so doctor put me in Glimpiride. I had no side affects and my kidney numbers stabilized.
