I did not like metformin because it gave me awful diarrhea but I lost weight. I stopped taking it a year ago and my blood sugar is above normal but not awful. My doctor is aware.

According to data demographics in the USA.

We have been told that the diabetes incidence of the general population of the USA is almost 12%

Diabetes is much more common in the 65+ age group than we were led to believe.
29.2% of all adults 65 are diabetic.
By age 75 it is almost 35% diabetic.

So as diagnosed with diabetes, we are not alone. We are almost 1 in every 3, 65 year olds as diabetic.

In my church, there are 11 of us 65 +. All but 3 are diabetic

did you check and see what your sugar was because if it is too low I would suggest eating dry toast or crackers then check again. Maybe you are coming down with something.

Has Anyone Used Victoza? Just Wondering Because I Have Been Put On Xultophy And It Contains Tresiba And Victoza And Now Hearing Bad About It

When I was on Victoza, I was weaning off Lantus. I continued when I changed to Bydureon and eventually dopped the insulin altogether. Does your ins have a list of approved meds for you to pick from?

Currently it is simply having an A1C, above 6.5% (47.5 mmol's in the IFCC scale) "twice in a row" measured 90 days apart
