Good morning from South Jersey @A DiabetesTeam Member.
1st, steroids like prednisone are known to raise blood glucose numbers.
2nd, sulfonureas, like glipizide are known to be a cause of hypos.

So talk to your doctors and pharmacist and let them know what's going on. They should be able to help. Baby steps.

Never give up, never surrender, never ever.
You got this.
Have a wonderful day.

Agree with Henry - the Doc may need to lower your Glipizide dosage now that you don't have the Steroid jacking up your numbers

You do say you are "low" - are you dangerous low as in "below 70/4.0 mmols" or just "low compared to what you are used to"

One may be dangerous but you also may just be un-nerved because you are lower than you are used to but not in any danger at all

I usually up my carb intake slightly with my supper. Eg an extra 1/2 slice low gi whole wheat bread with hummus. This has solved the problem for me. I am only using metformin at the moment. Good luck! Hope you find your solution, there is nothing worse than waking up in the morning with that low fbg feeling. Hugs.

Metformin made me very ill took months to convince doctors to change my medication. No lantis & victoza helped to get sugars under 7. Finally
