Members responded with concern to someone reporting an extremely high blood sugar reading of 23.3 mmol/l (about 420 mg/dl), urging them to retest after washing hands thoroughly, as contaminants can cause falsely elevated readings, and to seek medical attention promptly if the number remained that high. Several members shared practical advice for bringing numbers down, including drinking ice water with lemon, increasing physical activity like daily walks, carefully monitoring carbohydrate intake, and keeping detailed logs to discuss with a doctor. A recurring theme was balancing urgency with reassurance, acknowledging the stress of wedding planning and the frustration of limited access to diabetes education, while emphasizing that with attention to diet, exercise, and self-monitoring, blood sugar can be brought back into a healthy range.

That is high, when I first found out I was diabetic mine were 28. Layer years they rose to 33 where I was hospitalised for five days. They are now 6-7 I try hard to keep this up I check throughout the day.
The last 3 days mine have been low 3-4.7 been shake and tired. I have Ecg this morning we will see if I'm OK. I had full nloods done Friday and ECG today. I eat well and regular I drink regular always have a drink next to me even when busy.
Watch what you eat be careful.

Thanks Christine. I actually find people really helpful on here - just medical staff not so forthcoming. I can't get in contact with the diabetes course people so I'm floundering along.
