No. Your blood sugar will return to normal eventually.
Next time you go low, try eating a little and then wait fifteen minutes before you check it again.

Good morning @A DiabetesTeam Member.
It sounds like you are having problems with delayed emptying of your stomach.
Drinking water to quench thirst is essential.
But you can bypass delayed emptying of your stomach by this simple technique.
I put things under my tongue that I want to go directly into my blood stream. Sublingual absorption goes directly into your bloodstream. Honey or Maple syrup are good choices.
I like the individually wrapped lifesaver mints. I keep them in one of my zippered pockets in my cargo shorts or pants with my albuterol rescue inhaler.
My Bride calls my cargo pants... my purse. Every pocket is like a filing cabinet drawer for me.
I keep my Swiss army knife, my glasses cleaning cloth, and my car key fob in 1 pocket. My wallet in another pocket. My phone in another pocket. My receipts in another pocket. I keep coins in a zippered pocket too.
My cargo pants are all quick dry. So if I get caught in the rain they will dry quickly. They all stop the wind from blowing through too.
So getting back to the issue at hand. You can bypass gastroparesis. By absorbing sweets sublingually.
Good luck.
