I understand your rant Henry.
Have you any idea what the English did to the Boers?
The scorched earth policy and imprisonment of Boers, elderly men, women and young children, even babies, in concentration camps, leading to death from starvation and disease. That’s my rant today.

Back when King James ruled Great Britain he said the Pope gave him dominion over Ireland.

King James proceeded to send Presbyterian Scots to what is now called Northern Ireland. It led to 100s of years of 'Troubles'.

Some of them were my ancestors on my Father's side. Known as the Scotch Irish.

There were several genocides of the Irish over the years. At one time over 3/4s of the Catholic men were killed.

Many Irish were sold into slavery. The 1st slaves in America were Irish.

Did you know that after Australia was established as a penal colony.

Most of the young girls, Irish, brought to Australia to eventually become the Brides of the men who served out their sentences. Most of these girls had no fathers and no prospects.

So almost all of Australians today are decended from those unions of Irish girls and English guys.

Those that won the battles wrote the history that most know and believe.

Have you ever heard of the Irish potato famine. There was no Irish potato famine. There was a blight in England.

Then the English stole potatoes from the Irish and brought them to England.

That is called the Irish potato famine. The British wrote the history.

Most of the Irish suffered. Many died. The English had plenty of food.

My ancestors emigrated to the USA. Because the had no food in Ireland.

Sorry about this rant.

Hello Brenda

I love your profile picture.
I bought a scarf for my Mom, when I was in Edinburgh, Scotland, and it looks to be identical to the one draped across your shoulders.
My grandfather was born in Glasgow, and was a Stewart, so I bought her the Stewart tartan scarf. 🤗
