Members responded to a question about whether natural peanut butter can slow sugar spikes from pasta or white bread, with most agreeing that the fiber in natural peanut butter does help slow digestion and minimize spikes. Several members shared practical strategies for managing blood sugar, including choosing lower-carb breads like Sara Lee Delightful Multigrain, avoiding white bread and regular pasta entirely, keeping portion-controlled frozen meals on hand, and drinking plenty of water when blood sugar runs high. A recurring theme was the importance of careful label reading, mindful portion control, and having go-to tools like natural peanut butter to manage cravings and prevent dangerous spikes.

Sara Lee Delightful Healthy Multi-Grain bread contains 19 grams of carbs for 2 slices and is the only bread I use for sandwiches.

@A DiabetesTeam Member Thanks Joyce. It does. I bought white bread by mistake yesterday and thought I could get away with having two slices. My sugar spiked to 195. Today I'm buying whole grain. ๐Ÿ˜Ž
