Members shared their approaches to staying hydrated while managing neuropathy, with many acknowledging the challenge of drinking plain water every day and finding creative solutions like adding lemon, cranberry juice, or flavor enhancers to make it more enjoyable. Several members highlighted the additional benefits of lemon water, including its ability to help prevent kidney stones, which was particularly meaningful for those prone to them. A recurring theme was that while no single drink cures neuropathy, staying well-hydrated with water and incorporating anti-inflammatory options like tart cherry juice, ginger tea, or antioxidant-rich smoothies can support symptom management.

Some people find that adding electrolytes can be helpful. Sugar-free options like Powerade Zero can provide electrolytes without affecting blood sugar levels. When choosing beverages, it's important to:
• Limit or avoid alcohol consumption
• Choose sugar-free options over sugary drinks
• Stay consistent with hydration throughout the day
• Monitor how different beverages affect your blood sugar levels

Remember that managing your overall blood glucose levels through proper diet and hydration is key to preventing further nerve damage.

I haven't been good with water either so I started adding lemon powder and I've been much better. I drink about four full glasses per day now.
