Typically when you eat your blood sugar will Peak at about an hour and should be returning to your normal within an hour and a half to two hours

But that can vary a bit depending on what you ate. A higher fat or fiber meal could take upwards of 3 to 4 hours to digest so any carbs you ate could get kinda dragged along (uptake is slowed down) which can leave you a little above normal for longer if you consumed too many carbs

Are you properly hydrated. Most people need to sip 3-5 litres water daily for best hydration.

Have you tried walking 10-15 minutes immediately after eating each meal.

Slowly drop weight till your BMI is in the normal range of 18.0 to 24.9.

If you are eating within your carb tolerance, your number will be below 7.8(140 usa) at 2 hours from your 1st bite.

If your before eating numbers are below 7.8(140 usa) --- good for you.

If your 2 hour numbers are higher, then you are eating too many carbs.

Slowly cut your carbs. When your before eating numbers and 2 hour numbers match --- you are at your carb tolerance per meal.

Baby steps. I can do baby steps and you can too.

For people with diabetes, blood glucose should be under 180 mg/dl within two hours after eating. Testing your blood sugar 1-2 hours after meals is recommended to get the most accurate picture of how your body is processing glucose from food. Normal blood sugar ranges between 70 to 140 mg/dL. If you notice your levels aren't returning to this range within the expected timeframe, or if you experience frequent high readings after meals, it's important to discuss this with your healthcare provider. They may need to adjust your diabetes management plan.
