I'm changing my Once a Day insulin injection. From Humulin L to Toujeo 300.
Do I dual in the same number of units on the pen?
It is not like for like. They are different. Keep what they said in mind. But understand they are different.
No, you should not automatically use the same number of units when switching from Humulin L to Toujeo. Toujeo is an ultra long-acting insulin that works differently than other insulins, lasting about 36 hours or longer. The dosing needs to be specifically calculated for your situation by your healthcare provider. When Show Full Answer

@A DiabetesTeam Member you need to discuss this with the prescribing doctor
Humulin L is an intermediate acting insulin while the Toujeo is a long acting insulin where the Humulin works quicker and harder while the new will be slower and longer - so quite different which will need specific dosage changes
