Have to be careful not to Blame Diabetes (or any chronic condition) for every problem we encounter

Yes, do some Diabetics have a sleeping problem that is diabetes related "sure" but given that 1 in 3 people have an issue significant enough to be categorized as a problem or an issue and only about 1 in 8 people are Diabetic, sleep issues are MOSTLY caused by something other than anything related to diabetes

That's why there is a myriad of sleep clinics, the boom in CPAP machines etc

If it's "chronic" talk to your doctor

Trouble sleeping can indeed be related to diabetes. Here are some possible reasons:

- Frequent Urination: High blood sugar levels can cause the kidneys to work harder, leading to frequent urination, which can disrupt sleep.
- Restless Legs Syndrome: Tingling sensations in the legs can prevent falling asleep.
- Obstructive Sleep Apnea: This condition causes breathing to stop and start during sleep, reducing sleep quality.
- Nerve Damage: Pain or numbness from nerve damage can make it hard to sleep.

It's important to discuss these symptoms with your doctor to find the best solution.
