Hello to all my diabetic friends. I have had type 2 diabetes for many years now and my biggest issue is trying to get my morning numbers in a good range and I'm so frustrated i only eat breakfast and supper no snacks in between meals i usually have eggs and bacon for breakfast and usually chicken or some other type meat with vegetables for dinner and can not understand how my numbers are up in the mornings like today before eating it was 156 , then the reading before supper is good and like last… read more

I get occassional highs and there is no rhyme or reason to it as far as I can tell. I do stop eating by 6 pm.....when I dont my morning is higher...but that isnt always the case....I would say just do the best you can...DONT stress...it might actually be the problem....if your other numbers are low...unless you are trying to lower your a1c...your numbers are good...below 7....

Nana .I am worried about your diet too much fat will increase your weight then high sugars will follow .the eggs the bacon the pork increase water and vegetables please .I like your readings tho.keep it up

Hi Nana, your numbers are pretty good, but I get about wanting lower numbers in the morning. Stressing about it can make it harder to bring the numbers down. Maybe try testing at lunchtime for a while, just to get out of the same routine, then go back to the mornings. Also a small bedtime snack might help as well. I usually have a small snack between 8 & 9 pm. Good luck! πŸ’š

@A DiabetesTeam Member If I had your a1c I'd be very happy. We can sometimes become too obsessed with our readings and T2 Diabetes is a very unpredictable condition.

I worry a little about your concern because as you get older it gets increasingly difficult to maintain good control. Not that this is an excuse to give up but you'll need to work harder.
