A "therapeutic" dose for you might be considered 25mg, so it could be a "process" before you see the benefit the doctor is looking for

Given that you are already taking a Sulfonylurea (Gliclazide) the drug class that Dapa belongs to is trying to buy you an option "other than insulin"

So if newly started, give it a chance to work - insulin would probably be the alternative if your current meds are "not enough"
