I've been to the eye doctor and have been told there's nothing wrong. But my vision is blurry all the time

Hi @A DiabetesTeam Member,
Too high a blood glucose number, aka hyperglycemic event, gives me blurry vision.
But it can be corrected fairly quickly when I get my numbers below 7.8(140).

Too low a blood glucose number, aka a hypoglycemic event, a hypo, blood glucose number below 4.0(72), can quickly develop into a crisis. If it gets too low, coma and death can result.

When I get to 3.9(70) or less, my body must make decisions to reserve enough fuel for the brain and heart. It starts with vision issues, nausea, headache, shaking, heart palpatations, extreme thirst, extreme hunger, and more.

Correct this low number as soon as possible. Live to see another day. The vision issues from a hypo last for days for me.

Did I mention that I hate hypos.

Good luck.

If the Eye Doc doesn't see anything that's good - means there is no blood vessel damage

So as everyone has noted, it is probably blood sugar related

I go blurry when I'm high (like many) and some go blurry when low

Keep your blood sugar in a tight range 4.0 - 7.8 mmols 72 - 140 as much of the time as you can. You don't want the "blurry" to start becoming damaged veins which can lead to blindness

Keep good track of your blood sugar numbers. My vision gets blurry when I’m having a hypo or low blood sugar.
