Yes; my husband and I are on Ozempic; I was on Victoza for 11 years; but the government will not cover it. I react badly to all other medications. So I need it too. I was told it was on back order indefinitely and we both need it in 6 weeks.I struggled for three and a half years to lose the 70 lbs I had to lose; 60 myself and 10 lbs on Ozempic and myself. It is not the weight loss drug they say it is. You have to work on it for it to work!
I am having trouble. I have a great pharmacist and she has a list of those needing it for diabetes and she fills those first if she gets any pens in. I have started talking it every 10 days to make a pen last 40 days instead of 30. I have had twice I wasn't able to get a pen and I called my doctor and they had a sample they could give me.
I had my rx filled yesterday, but my pharmacist said that with the shortage, she may not have it for me next time. So I have 4 wks then will see. This is after I went through hoops getting our drug plan to cover it. Now I will have to see if they cover the pill form. if I can't get the pen. Ozempic has really helped me with my diabetes & lose some weight as well. I am so frustrated over the shortage. My pharmacist said it's the actual pen that is in short supply, not the med. You'd think they could do something.
Thanks
