The pen he has, is not effective, as he is struggling with his hearing too... Looking for something to give him some independence.

Did ask the local clinic, they don't have anything. My first step was Google nothing I could find available in SA, that is why I asked here, maybe someone here can direct me.

Ther are some aids to help someone that is blind use insulin independently. I'm not sure what iis avalible in South Africa. You can ask a pharmacist or google it.

Are the pens for blind people? He only gets syringes from the clinic and cannot use it independently, as he is blind.

Hello Tracey64. I'm on insulin plus all the other medications. Was prescribed by the hospital. Now I collect my meds plus insulin pens at the clinic monthly.
