See an eye doctor to determine if it's diabetic related or something else (macular degeneration is an age related disease as an example and there is no treatment for getting older)

If it is retinopathy then it may be too far gone if you are at the "notice it" stage, but if not then "immediately" getting a grip on your blood sugar so that it never goes above 8.7 mmols or 157 points would be the best way to keep it from getting worse

One of the leading causes of blindness is insufficient blood sugar control. Every time we "get off track" or just ignore it for a bit or figure "I'm not that bad" while we have diabetes does a real number on our eyes and kidneys and by the time we notice it is usually past the point where we could fix it

Talk to your Doc - get almost insanely serious about blood sugar control
