Members shared a wide range of strategies for managing restless leg syndrome, with magnesium supplements (particularly magnesium citrate rather than oxide), bananas for potassium, plenty of water, and prescription Pregabalin emerging as the most frequently mentioned remedies. Several members described creative home remedies that worked for them, including placing a bar of soap in the bed near the legs, wearing copper bracelets, taking Epsom salt baths, and one member noting that CoQ10 supplementation can help when RLS is caused by statin medications depleting the body's natural supply. A recurring theme was the profound toll RLS takes on sleep and relationships, with members describing decades of sleepless nights, worn bed sheets from constant movement, and the frustration of trying remedy after remedy in search of relief.

Put him on potassium and magnesium OT sure which one he's asleep lol but the only thing that seems to work is bananas. He was so bad last night I made him eat a banana at 3am by 5am it stopped πŸ˜€πŸ‘‹

Place a bar of soap in the bed next to your legs at night has helped mine. I am not joking.

I can tell you what makes mind worse. Alcohol, caffeine, coffee, To much excises . I suffered this for years. Even as a child. I have worn sheets on the bed from moving so much and rubbing my legs on them. I feel sorry for my husband because I keep him awake at night. But he gets me back from his snoring. This is one reason I like working backshift because I don't get much sleep at night anyway when I am home because of my legs. I have been almost 200 pounds and when you look at my ankles I have the shinny ones around because of all the movement. I am proud to say I was 172 pounds this morning. My sugars are doing great with this weight loss.
