Willpower

You are trying to break bad habits and make new ones

No different then kicking smoking or drugs or whatever

Take one day at a time

Just have to say "today I'm going to do what I need to"

Surely you can make it through "one day"

And then you do it again tomorrow and the next day and the next day

If you are serious about wanting to do the right thing then just stop making excuses and "just do it"

I believe that loving myself is important to taking good care of me (and others). I also think that a lot of people never learned to do that. So I'd say self-care is real important to keeping on track and maintaining improvements.
