A DiabetesTeam Member asked a question 💭

My blood sugars right now are very good. Sometimes at night I start to get hungry again and I was wondering if anyone has some good idea for snacks. Right now I am eating an apple/with Peanut butter....getting bored and need a change....thanks a bunch to all

Members shared a wide variety of evening snack ideas for managing blood sugar, with the most popular suggestions including cheese paired with crackers or nuts, Greek yogurt or cottage cheese with fruit, and protein-rich options like hard-boiled eggs, turkey slices, or beef jerky. Several members emphasized the importance of combining protein and healthy fats to stay satisfied, with creative ideas like sugar-free hot cocoa made with bakers cocoa powder, low-carb granola bars, avocado, trail mix, and homemade low-carb muffins. A recurring theme was finding balance between enjoying a satisfying snack and keeping carbs in check, with many members suggesting portion-controlled fruits like berries, mandarins, or half a pear, and some relying on herbal teas like jasmine green tea to curb cravings without affecting blood sugar.

Protein and fat satisfy my hunger when I need a snack. First drink a cup of eater, wait 20-30 minutes, then have a snack. All listed below are good choices for me.

Half an avocado, 7-10 raw almonds or equivalent in other nuts, some extra sharp cheddar, some beef jerky, one egg, creamed cheese on zero carb toast, but sometimes - 2 blackberries, 2 raspberries, and 5 blueberries hit the spot.

A small mandarin orange, a seckel pear, half a small apple, half a pear, half a nectarine, half a plum, 1/6 mango, even a handful of air popped popcorn with butter and salt, or 7 small kettle potato chips and onion dip.

Never give up, never surrender, never ever. You got this. Have a blessed day.

I eat one slice of bread and peanut butter, milk and I have my good protein milk shake, dried fruits like dates cranberries, figs. My doctor found out that I was a little bit of deficiency of protein so I bought a good protein milk shake powder too.
