Anxiety and stress also raises numbers. Try relaxation exercises and deep breathing.

Keep track of your numbers and talk to your doctor if you can't get that number down. It needs to be 120 or less.

That is very high for a fasting number. Are you on any meds?

my morning readings are always on the high side also

I do not know the normal numbers for outside of Canada, we use the 5.0 to 10.0 range here not the 100's, but I am sure someone in here can answer that for you. But I do know my morning sugar is usually higher also so for me would be normal.
