Members shared practical insights about the question of how doctors diagnose diabetes, noting that blood work alone is not enough and that symptoms like excessive thirst, frequent urination, dizziness, and blood sugar swings also guide diagnosis. Several members described different testing methods, including the A1C test for long-term glucose levels and the glucose tolerance test, which tracks blood sugar over several hours after drinking a glucose mixture. A recurring theme was support for members managing their diabetes, with many celebrating A1C levels in the healthy range through lifestyle changes like walking and expressing encouragement to keep up the positive momentum.

There are a few ways to tell you if you have Diabetes, and what kind. Taking blood work once will not give an answer. If you are having other symptoms this will also tell the doctor of your condition. Ex. Sugar highs/lows, needing to drink more then usual, peeing more then usual, moodiness if you haven't eaten or if you just ate alot of sugar, dizziness, passing out after not eating or eating, getting shakes after eating or not eating.

That's great. 5 is good. And walking is a big help for sugar levels and weight loss. Keep up the momentum. You are doing very well.
