Members rallied around someone seeking footwear recommendations for aching feet, with Sketchers emerging as the most popular choice due to their light weight and excellent cushioning, followed closely by New Balance for their supportive arch. Several members recommended consulting a podiatrist or primary care doctor, noting that Medicare and some insurance plans cover diabetic shoes with a prescription, and emphasized the importance of proper insoles, good socks, and addressing underlying swelling with medical guidance. A recurring theme was the relief many found after trying different brands and styles, with practical tips including nightly foot massages, compression considerations, and the surprising comfort of Sketchers flip flops worn indoors year-round.

I do not know how old you are, but I know Medicare will pay for you to have diabetic shoes if your doctor sends you to a foot doctor and he says you have to have them.

I found the best is a good pair of running shoes with a good pair of socks not synthetic, preferably wool or cotton depending on your climate

What about trying New Balance shoes and try Massaging your feet every night before you go to bed.
