I have diabetic neoropathy and poor hearing. In March of 2017 I got a thumbtack stuck in my shoe. I found a huge hole in my foot. After many trips to the doctor getting the dead skin cut away and twice on a picc for interveious antibiotics it became clear that I had a untreatable bone infection. A pain management Dr. would probably be a good idea. I agree with Kristan Boldrick on the New Balance shoes. They are the only shoes I wear. If you look into them find a pair that are mesh uppers. My podiatrist says those are the best because of keeping you feet dry. They are a bit pricey but Medicare will pay for them and special inserts that are molded to your foot.

And a podiadist is the route I’ll follow to get my diabetic shoes made and fitted by a professional. I had a ridiculously bad experience this week dealing with a place that used a podiatrist only for the initial fitting. I refused to do business with them.
@A DiabetesTeam Member Warren, Hey, I would refer you back to a Podiatrist. They asked me to bring in all the shoes I wear and I just learned that I am wearing all the wrong shoes. All my shoes are too big. AND none of them are diabetic shoes at all. What's up with that?. I've been going to the same place for years. My swelling issues are from lack of 36 lymph nodes from breast cancer surgery and nothing can be done for it. I'm praying it isn't getting infected after 29 years in remission, as the top of my feet under toes is red now. I tried a new filtered water solution but it made the swelling worse.
I have a new exercise bike and I like using it. Stays in one place for my occasional vertigo. I have a 32 inch Genisis (lime green)bike I am trying to sell. It's about 5 years old but not used and I have kept it indoors and it's still in like new condition.
