Type 2 Diabetics that would like to take a shot at remission now have access to a Program - Doctor run and paid by provincial medicare if you live in B.C., Alberta or Ontario
(it was piloted in B.C. for the past couple of years, Alberta must have recently jumped on board and Ontario just started advertising it "today")
Much of the program is online (live/interactive video), but you are also paired with a local doctor who can facilitate the labs etc

click on two lines in corner of screen for drop down menu.go to settings,either account settings or email settings and change your preferences.that should sort it out
About 90% of those diagnosed with diabetes are type 2, so most of the chatter is about type 2s.

For years I have been nearsighted. I would have to squint sometimes to see street signs while driving or read the page numbers on the wall at church. Then my undiagnosed diabetes had my blood glucose reaching 405 this June and my vision was immensely worse. I couldn't see clearly more than 10 or so inches from my face
As I took metformin and drastically cut carbs... my blood glucose lowered to 140 and my vision was crystal clear. I could see far and it was like 20/20
