No insurance or primary doctor....so I need information on how I can get treatment and medicine for my illness.
It's simple , at least see a Doctor once to get scripts . You can get Metformin free through Blink.com and if you need insulin and fall within Fed. guide lines you can get Tresiba for free if you contact them direct ( Novodisk ) . This is what I do . I won't have Medicare until August then I have the joy of paying for everything
My doctor is retiring and I am on a wait list for another one. I go to walk in clinics and they are ok.
all drug companies have patient assistance programs. ask your doctor if there is someone in the office to help you navigate that system. It is a financial godsend when you get coverage.
go to the medicine's website and look for a prescription patient assistance program, print out the form fill it out and take to your doctor, you will get the medicine if approved for one year for free. The insulin comes to your doctor's office, pills will come to your home. Unless your doctor charges for the trouble of filling out their part of the form the medicine is completely free, but you can't have any insurance, its how I get my meds...
