Members shared a wide range of approaches for managing daily diabetic neuropathy symptoms, from prescription medications like Gabapentin, Lyrica, and Aventyl to supplements including alpha-lipoic acid, B vitamins, magnesium, and CBD oil. Several members found relief through practical strategies such as daily foot massages, Epsom salt soaks, warm socks, Vicks VaporRub, keeping limbs elevated, staying hydrated, and using topical creams or gels designed for nerve pain. A recurring theme was the trial-and-error nature of finding what works, with many emphasizing that controlled blood sugar levels, low-carb diets, regular movement, and consistent treatment over months were essential to reducing pain and even reversing some neuropathy symptoms.

I also have RLS and was on Lyrica but it stopped working. Then the neuropathy in feet started. Now I take gabapentin 600mg 3xday plus 800mg at bedtime. Does not work. My feet hurt so bad plus it sometimes seems to be creeping up my legs. Any suggestions anyone??

I have experimented with keeping my hands and warm when I get that painful feeling. I have found that putting on socks even in the bed takes away the pain.

I take CBD oil and have gotten off all of my pain meds. I would highly recommend it.

I began taking two supplements from a wellness online shopping site. I first was trying to stop arthrithic joint and muscle aches which ruled my days. After only two days I was felling much better and started to have more stamina and after a week was waking in the morning pain free. It now occurs to me that I haven't had any neuropathy episodes either.

I am type 2 and not yet on insulin. I take metformin and jardiance daily.

I myself take lyric 100 mg three times a day and it works wonders for me. If I miss it or run out... I sure can tell when I don’t take it. At times I can’t stand for the sheet to touch my feet.
