I am alone as I do not know anyone else with "Drug induced diabetes"
My specialist nurse says I am a type 2
While my doctor says I'm a type 1
Truth is I don't know what I am
I just know it's hard to manage
I take 2000mg of metformin per day and I take Glargine and Novorapid
Can anyone help please?

I have no side effects from Victoza! I was switched from Metformin to Victoza!
But as they say everybody is different!
Good luck,
Francine

Victoza is dangerous!!! read my other posts....
DO YOU know the difference between Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes? Type 1 occurs when your PANCREAS fails completely due to damage and often times due to infection. Technically the Eyelets of Langerhans, which produce insulin in the pancreas, have died and no longer function. Adult T1 diabetes onset is actually rare, which is why T1 is referred to as Juvenile Diabetes.

Type 2 diabetes happens over time as your body is less and less able to absorb the natural insulin that your body produces - your pancreas is still producing insulin - your muscles and tissues are just resistant to receiving it to convert it to energy.

There are specific tests that can determine which TYPE of diabetic you are.....if your DR has not done these tests, he is guessing......do you want a DR that GUESSES......do you leave the quality of your life and your future in the hands of a GUESS...???? What if the DR guesses WRONG.....DON"T GUESS - KNOW.....and if fyour DR doeesn't....GET A DIFFERENT DR!!!

Have you tried Victoza injections? It is not insulin but it works for me and my 2 sisters, and we all have a different doctor!
