looking to get an average of what amouts of calories, carbs, fat and protein a type 2 diabetic needs as a baseline. as my doctor says it is unnecessary to track these things unless you are on insulin. but i still want to track them to get a better over all picture of my health. please give actual numbers as math formulas don't help any. a bit about my i'm 28 weight aproxamtly 340 pounds and am a woman. activey level minaml
Carbs between 100-125 per day (split up among meals and snacks)
If you opt for keto, the carb count will be closer to 0 carbs

He has a microwave in the truck. Low sugar and low carb recipes are best as his sugar levels are out of control.

There has been a number of discussions "how many carbs is enough, too much etc".
A low carb diet can help (or totally) manage your blood sugars.
Low Carb is not a standard definition but most agree that it's 150 net carbs a day or less.
Two large Diabetes Remission studies determined that if you want to achieve remission (A1C under 5.5) "without meds" then 130 net carbs/day seems to be the maximum.

I don't like red meat or any fatty food. Mostly chicken and seafood. Love bread
salads and soups which are high on my diet. Love fresh fruit and juices. My sugar levels are between 4.0 and 14 .0 depends what i eat during the day. Could my fruit intake be the problem? I love rooibos tee but it must be black with honey as a sweetner and lemon juice for taste. I find if my sugar levels ar high just to drink 2 sips of coke i feel better within minites. I have found that the 647 bread is the most tasty of the lower carb breads. I like to toast it and use it as croutons on a salad for the crunch.

Start by cutting back.If currently having three fruits at same time go down to one.Have low sugar muesli ( better is porridge, Weetabix,bran flakes.) Check sugar content of yogurt.
