Looking to buy a GOOD pair of Diabetic Shoes . Previously purchased Dr. Comfort and they worked well. But just wondering if anyone had ever purchased a better brand. If so which one and how did they work out.
My insurance forces me to get 90 days supply at a time. So taking 2500 mg Metformin daily (2- 1/2 tablets) I have to get 275 tablets each go round in 2 separate bottles. In the past 2-3 weeks, I have noticed that my fasting (& even other times) glucose checks were rising (Normal is 80- 120, Lately has been 150- 180). Not much has changed, diet, activity,...... I've had some success controlling BS this summer and contribute much of that to the availability of fresh vegetables. Those days are numbered for us Ohioans and I'm wondering what I'll eat this winter. I love casseroles, but most of them don't love me. I no longer do processed food, which eliminates using canned soups for stews and such. I can't do pasta, rice, potatoes, or bread either. I need some breakfast ideas that are quick or that can be made a head of time.
Not sure how I feel about this especially since when I do cut back on carbs my sugar drops to 5.9. I feel like crap when it is this low. So why would I need insulin?
I am T2 and also have high cholesterol. I am TERRIFIED of taking statins which cause debilitating muscle pains. I understand if I don't take them I will continue to be at risk for heart disease. I just don't understand how people can live and work under such pain. I am barely adjusting to diabetes let alone a statin. Anybody have advice?
