Is There Any Alternative To Metformin?

Is There Any Alternative To Metformin?

I'm so fed up with the side effects I give myself days off. I know I shouldn't, but visiting the toilet 5-8 times a day is getting me down. Slow release tablets help but not much. Is there no alternative??

A DiabetesTeam Member said:

Several alternatives, all probably more expensive. After a month or two on metformin, I told my doctor it was making me cough frequently, and he switched to another medicine.
