I have been on Lantus for several years now. My Health Insurance decided as of 1/1/23 Lantus will no longer be covered. Anthem suggested Basaglar, Levemir, Toujeo, or Tresiba. Are any of you on these, any pros or cons of each? It is always something.
I am on Humalog for Quick Acting (as far as I know, this is still covered)

Since I've been on levimir I've gained weight, had itching and muscle pain in my legs.Has anyone else experienced this?

Since Friday I've been on a very strict diabetic diet, following everything dr said to do as my Fasting sugar A1C was 321. Since I've been very strict my sugars are down in the 100's but I had one before supper tonight at 88. That was before my Novolog injection before supper. Two hours after eating it was 125. Great numbers for me but now I'm afraid if I take my slow acting Levemir tonight (80 units) it'll drop too low and I won't know it. any suggestions?
Two units a day shouldn't cause much of any fat at all, that is really not that much (your pancreas, if working normally produces about 40 units a day itself) so that extra couple is unlikely to be… read more
I just switched from Levemir and Novorapid to Basalgar and Apidra. Much cheaper and seems to control my sugars more efficiently. Has anybody else switched insulins lately?
