Six months ago my A1C was 7.2; at that time my Dr. doubled my Metformin so I now take 1000 milligrams twice a day. He also added [[treatment:Januvia:5612ce4f6bcd619a[[phone:12000360]] 100:]] mgs daily. I decided to work harder on diet and exercise and not take the Januvia. My next A1C was 6.7. I have continued with the 2000 mgs of metformin daily, and no Januvia. My question for all of you is - if you take Januvia, how is it working? I have read the possible side effects and find them quite… read more

What "damage" occurred with the Glipizide? I've been on that. Thanks!
No, but it caused liver damage in me. As soon as I stopped taking it, my liver started showing improvement.

I was diagnosed with Type 2 a year ago. Doctor started me out on Metformin. In that period of time the dose got up to 2500 once a day, with Victoza added. I was so sick and fatigued I could barely get out of bed everyday. I kept telling my doctor about the fatigue, vomiting, he didn't change my meds. I found another doctor who recognized my adverse reactions to the drugs, and took me off of them.. Now I am on 100 mg of Januvia daily... so far no bad side affects. My AIC is 5.8. Is anyone else on… read more

My husband was diagnosed several years ago. Had only been on Metformin which kept his numbers under control. Recently his A1C went up to 8.1 Dr has recommended adding 100mg of Januvia once a day. We have a 21 day sample supply. Has anyone had success with adding this drug?
My insurance has decided not to cover my rybellsus. No skin off my back really.. but now my Dr wants to see if the insurance company will cover either of the above mentioned scripts.. I am not fond of the side effects from either. I had taken the inovokana but ended up with yeast infections every month.. esp right before my period. Sorry guys that is on my team if it's TMI.
The jardiance has ten side effects.. they said it was tested more in t1 than t2. But I am not fond of the side effects..

You can maybe ask your pharmacist. But diabetes is a progressive disease so I would think the answer would not be accurate. What works for 1 diabetic does not always work for others neither. Each… read more
