I used to take 2 metformin twice a day but the doctor has stopped it because I have chronic kidney disease. Has anyone ever loose their sense of taste o have eaten food and it tastes sour or off?

This has been going on for 5 days now, is this normal?

Over the past year in particular the diagnosed rate of Diabetes has jumped by almost 50%.

Pre-Pandemic about 8% (about 1 in 12) of the population was diabetic and in the two years since that number has jumped to 12% (about 1 in 8 now).

Some of it could be explained away by people "locked up, sitting around and eating a lot of junk" - so they simply took themselves to the "tipping point" sooner then they would have.
