Has Anyone Had Weight Loss Surgery To "cure" Diabetes?
A DiabetesTeam Member asked a question 💭

I have been told that after having this surgery I would no longer have to treat my diabetes. However I am wondering if I would be trading one set of problems for another. Since I have a weight problem being approved is not a problem, but I prefer to do things as naturally as possible. Some insight would be helpful and appreciated.

Lower Blood Sugar Levels
A DiabetesTeam Member asked a question 💭

I have been enjoying life meaning eating everything mostly on weekends. i just started after a month taking my blood sugar level and t was about 225. that put me in a watch mode. So I have been eating low carbs and exercising a lot. I cannot get to below 150. My test strips were expired so can my test meter be too old now after 3 years? Or my sugar was too high and it takes time for it to level off.

Is Bariatric Surgery A Solution To Diabetes Remission?
A DiabetesTeam Member asked a question 💭

I will start with a popular myth that I see more and more on the internet from (supposedly) medical professionals

I'm sure we have all heard at least once from some "authority" that being overweight is not as simple as eating too much

If that was TRUE then Bariatric Surgery would not work

The only thing it does is stop you from eating too much by restricting how much food you can actually put in your system - so lets at least be honest.

Body Fat does not come from outer space and you don't… read more

Morning Members, I Need To Know Is There A Difference In The Strength Of Insulin Actraphane And Actrapid. ?
A DiabetesTeam Member asked a question 💭

I took the Actrapid and got very sick last week. I can't just go to the hospital if I have no appointment date. I went to the pharmacy to ask about it, and the lady were reluctant to help and said I should go back to the hospital. I still have Actraphane that I continue taking, but it will run out soon. Nor sure what to do 😏

Thank you all for the hugs, I feel loved.☺️
