My father was first diagnosed with diabetes when he was around 50, with what I can recall he didn't take it too seriously, when he was around 70 he started having kidney problems and by 75 he was in end stage renal failure requiring dialysis 3 hours a day 3 days a week. I am concerned about the health effects associated with belly fat. Though I've lost nearly thirty pounds and wish to lose ten more, my stomach is a source of contention for me. I can't seem to get rid of it and wondered what has worked for you. I don't want to sound too ignorant, asking so many questions. It's just that I watched my dad go downhill from complications due to Diabetes and eventually pass away after a sad struggle. I was much younger and I wish I would have taken the time to learn more about the disease so I could have helped him live a healthier lifestyle. .

my dr puy me on Metformin about 6 months was only takin on at evening meal recently she told me to start takin two how long should I continue to take this my mother in law was on Actos and she died with serocis of the liver
