Members discussed which specialists can help manage diabetes beyond a primary care doctor, with many sharing their own extensive care teams including endocrinologists, dietitians, podiatrists, neurologists, cardiologists, and mental health professionals. A recurring theme was the importance of advocating for yourself and treating doctors as partners in care, with several members noting that a dietitian certified in diabetes management and a psychologist can be just as valuable as medical specialists. Members from Canada also shared the real challenges of long wait times and limited specialist access, sparking an honest conversation about how healthcare system differences shape the care people with diabetes are able to receive.

They were discussing free healthcare for the USA. It never took place. My son said in a way that is a good.
He said in Canada they have to wait forever to see a specialist.
I never really knew how bad it was until I joined this site, and learned what it was really like.
He also talked about people dying while waiting for surgeries.πŸ˜“

@A DiabetesTeam Member. Yes we enjoyed our guests . Many repeat families. Got to watch kids grow summer to summer. Still hear from many of our customers. But I do not miss the long hours and hard work. I highly recommend retirement.
