@A DiabetesTeam Member Glycemic Variability is also known as Labile or Brittle Diabetes

It (whichever name you choose) is considered RARE and it almost always effects Auto-Immune Diabetics (Type 1 and LADA)

If the underlying cause of the swings can be determined, where it might be: Gastroparesis, a hormone imbalance or disorders like Celiac's, then it could be possibly mitigated through intervention to treat the underlying cause

But otherwise the only effective treatment is one of the newer insulin pumps that continuously monitors sugar levels (sensor) and dynamically adjusts insulin flow

If the Doc is going to do a GAD test AND you are experiencing wild sugar swings that is a big giant finger pointing to Brittle LADA
