So my wife accidentally gave me 60 units of insulin instead of 50. Will that effect me in any way or do I need to go back to the hospital?

That was a wise decision
Glad you sought help. 😅
It's long acting insulin. I went to the hospital they kept me over night to evaluate me.
Good luck Walter! Hkc gives good advice!
It depends. What are your numbers. It could be an overdose and cause a life threatening low. Check your blood glucose regularly.
Even 1 or 2 units could cause an overdose.
Is it long acting insulin or is it fast acting insulin.
If it is long acting insulin you have a bit more time to be wary.
If it is fast acting insulin an overdose could be immediate.
Do you know what your sliding scale dose of insulin should be, and carb count should be.
Adjust your carb count as needed.
Many diabetics die from insulin overdoses.
A lot depends on your insulin resistance.
Praying.
Good luck.
