I know you should always talk to your doctor before fasting. I can't go over 6 hours without eating.

Some fruits are not good for sugars. You want the ones that are on the low glycemic index.

It's hard, isn't it? Having to eat frequently thoughout the day, and at the same time avoid cookies, snacks, etc., which are easily available and don't require any preparation. Fruit? Fruit you say? If you can only go grocery shopping on a weekly basis, it's hard to choose fruits that will stay fresh for the week. Perseverance.

We all have a unique blueprint from conception. The reason you spike when going without food is your body's way of feed ing itself. You see, it thinks you are starving and releases stored sugars from your liver into your bloodstream. Without sugar we would die, but to much is hard on the internal organs, eyes, nerves, and so much more high sugars can harm. That's why I say find your balance and me and @A DiabetesTeam Member will share what we know. They are other knowledgeable people in the community. We want only the best for you and for you to be diabetes knowledgeable and you can pass that knowledge on. I don't know if there will ever be a cure as the medical technologies keep evolving. We can only hope, and pray.
