I have prostate cancer. 8.5 years ago I had it removed. Along with the cancer sites, many nerves were sacrificed. Including those that control urination and defecation.
The main site of the malignant fast growing cancer was more than 10x normal size. And with the margins around it much of the pelvic floor was sacrificed.
So I had to wait for the muscles in the pelvic floor to be replaced before I could gain any control even though I identified and exercised the Kegel muscles for a month before the surgery.
I continue to exercise the Kegel muscles every day for multiple reps of quick on and off. And longer control.
Every day while awake I hold off urination for hours with just muscle memory.
This makes it easier to control nighttime urination. I average urination 2-3 times a night. Sometimes only once.
So it is possible.
The way I identified my Kegel muscles was by starting and stopping and holding the stop of urination for 30 or more seconds before finishing.
Good luck. I am currently in my 9th treatment for the cancer. And will begin my 10th treatment in the middle of April.
Do what you can do. Exercise those Kegel muscles. Reap the rewards.
Get into your doctor to find the cause. It could be high blood sugar numbers, an enlarged prostate or something else.
Thank you, let's keep on doing what is better for us.God will do the rest.
Big hugs enjoy your day with God's blessings
