It's too much Sugar in your urine which is the result of too much sugar in your blood

Control your blood sugar and the yeast infection will stop recurring - it is a "symptom" of poor sugar control

Look at your meds. Some diabetic meds can cause yeast infections. I am one called farxiga that moves more sugars out through you kidneys. It is one of the side effects. Don't use your towel to dry there multiple times. Try to keep the area dry. Don't wear tight pants.

How can you manage recurring yeast infections when vaginal cream isn't working during menstruation?

If vaginal creams aren't effective during your period, talk to your doctor about switching to oral antifungal medications like fluconazole (Diflucan). These work throughout your body and aren't affected by menstruation.

For recurring infections, your doctor may prescribe long-term therapy taken for months at a time. Some specialists offer a self-monitored approach where you take medication at the first sign of symptoms, which can help you stay ahead of infections.

If standard treatments aren't working, your doctor might consider boric acid capsules inserted directly into the vagina for medication-resistant infections. Never swallow these capsules as they can be life-threatening.

Managing your blood sugar levels is crucial since high glucose increases yeast infection risk. The better controlled your diabetes is, the lower your risk for recurring infections.

Some DiabetesTeam members find eating low-carb yogurt with active cultures helps, especially when blood sugar is high. However, always consult your doctor before trying home remedies, as they may worsen symptoms.

If symptoms persist or return within two months after treatment, contact your doctor for a different approach.
