Members overwhelmingly confirmed that vaginal itching is a common diabetes symptom, typically caused by yeast infections that occur when blood sugar levels are elevated, with many sharing that the itching improved or disappeared completely once their glucose levels were brought under better control. Several members offered practical relief strategies, including over-the-counter antifungal creams like Canesten or Clotrimazole with applicators, prescription topical treatments, Epsom salt baths, seeing a gynecologist for proper diagnosis, and using products like Vagisil for temporary comfort while avoiding talcum powder due to health concerns. A recurring theme was the critical importance of managing carbohydrate intake and blood sugar levels as the most effective long-term solution, with many emphasizing that improved glucose control naturally resolves the issue without needing ongoing treatment.

Yes. It was one of my first symptoms. Once sugar comes down it goes away on its own.

Yes. That experience was irritating for me because of the yeast in my lady parts. I took medicine for my yeast infection and (finally) it went away. Also, I saw my gynecologist and I followed her advice. She prescribed some antifungal powder for topical use and baths with Epson salts. It was helpful.
