@A DiabetesTeam Member thank you so much for the info, correct for type 1 insulin can be adjusted,T2 we need to be cautious
I can eat 2-3 carbs per meal. No more. When I eat 2-3 carbs, my 2 hour number is no higher than 135 and is often less than my before eating number.
When I eat 6 carbs my 2 hour number is 225.
So I cannot eat any carbs or sugar.
We are all different. We each have different carb tolerances.
Good luck.
Eat whatever you want?????ā¹ļø
Portion control????
Terrible advice...
I donāt believe we can eat whatever we want, like others said if we could control it we wouldnāt be here. I donāt do sugar itās one thing I know I cannot control itās like a drug once I have a taste I want more and more and moreā¦ā¦. You still need to practice portion control no matter what but for those red light foods or ones that spike the blood sugar itās cut them out of your diet for me. Itās frustrating at times but my health comes first as I want to enjoy my family and all my grandkids and be able to do things with them.

I have to agree with you Ruby.
I worked very closely with a Dietitian for 10 odd years, as she guided me when I was diagnosed with pre diabetes.
There were certain foods that caused spikes, which I then had to cut out, while being monitored by her.
