I had forgotten about drinking a little Apple Cider vinegar before bed and I have found that eating healthy food helps with my blood sugar levels which have been in the 5s most days (under 100)

How effective is apple cider vinegar for blood sugar control, and is it safe for people with diabetes?

Apple cider vinegar (ACV) may help improve blood sugar control for some people, but the evidence is limited. Some small studies suggest that consuming vinegar before bed can help lower fasting blood glucose levels.

In one study, people with diabetes took ACV daily for eight weeks while following dietary recommendations. At the end, those who took ACV had a significant decrease in fasting blood sugar compared to those who only followed the diet. They also showed a greater drop in A1c levels and an increase in insulin levels.

This means ACV may help improve overall blood sugar control for some people. However, there's not enough strong evidence to show it consistently works for everyone or specifically addresses issues like high morning blood sugar.

Safety considerations:

If you're interested in trying it, talk with your doctor first — especially if you take insulin or sulfonylureas, since vinegar can interact with these medications.

Keep in mind that vinegar may also irritate your teeth or stomach, so it's important to be cautious and monitor how your body responds.
